The Department of Business and Economics is located in the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Beira Interior (UBI) and make available to the entire academic community the following structures and equipment:
– Library of Social and Human Sciences, with books and scientific magazines specialized in the areas of economics, management, sociology, psychology and others.
– Bibliographic databases online:
- ISI Web of Knowledge platform (Wok);
- Knowledge Library on-line (B-On), which has 3500 of six scientific journals publishing full text;
- Proquest database (primary database of scientific management).
– NECE (Research Unit in Business Sciences), which is a research centre at the University of Beira Interior, funded by the Portugese Foundation for Science and Technology.
– Point of access to the INE (National Statistics Institute) and the European Documentation Centre at the Central Library.
– Computer Rooms with specific software (SPSS, EViews, Amos, Microfit) and updated hardware.
– Office with Wireless Network and network points.
– Bar / Restaurant – at the Faculty there is a bar offering meals (snack) where students, faculty and staff to mingle and enjoy your coffee or meal (lunch and / or dinner).
– Accommodation in rooms or apartments in several residences.
