João J. Ferreira

is Associate Professor of Management at University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal, and research member of NECE – Research Unit of Business Sciences, UBI. His research interests broadly focus upon strategy, competitiveness and entrepreneurship
He is editor of Studies in Knowledge Management and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems book series published by De Gruyter. He has edited or co-edited several books on strategy, innovation, knowledge transfer, and entrepreneurship and published over 200 papers in premier international journals, including Technological Forecasting & Social Change, IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management, Journal of Business Research, R&D Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, Management Decision, Service Business, Regional Studies, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Business Strategy and the Environment, and many others.
João is currently serving on the editorial boards of several journals, and he is associate editor on the Management Decision, Journal of Global Information Management, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, and others.
